Here is where Stephen Hunter (and the RWNJs) lose their shit:

If the idea was to KILL,

then Alex would have BEEN SHOOTING FROM OUTSIDE THE AREA WHERE ICE WAS LOCATED.

Why? The gun sight--specifically identified mentioned above--allowed individuals to be rapidly identified AND targeted. Shooting EACH SPECIFIC TARGET would mean being able to HIT ICE AND NOT SHOOT OTHER NON-DESIRED POTENTIAL TARGETS.

Thus, Hunter's identification of the gun sight PROVES BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that Alex Pretti was *intending* to shoot/kill anyone. Can't argue self-defense because there was NO drawing of the weapon or other preparation to use it. RATIONAL attack on ICE would be to do so from OUTSIDE, not INSIDE, the ICE group. Alex was rational (nurse's JOB), so Hunter has unwittingly cleared Alex of any intent to attack ICE using Alex's carried weapon.

Alex Pretti has been cleared by Stephen Hunter's analysis (which Hunter did not initially comprehend) of any attack on ICE. Thus, the murder/execution of Alex Pretti can proceed at both the state and federal levels. Expectation is Spankee will be "fast and furious" to pardon ALL ICE/CBP involved--but ONLY for the federal crimes. He lacks the authority to pardon state/local crimes. Prosecution of the state/local crimes should proceed after the federal govt has turned over ALL the evidence to the state/local police. If the federal govt "lost, can't find, disposed, etc" of that evidence, then there is no evidence CLEARING the ICE/CBP killing of Pretti and their trials may begin as soon as the prosecutors are willing to begin. The ICE/CBP officers involved shall NOT be allowed to leave the US or be in any location where they can ESCAPE JUSTICE WITHOUT MN STATE + LOCAL TRIALS.
