According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, while the U.S. eliminated endemic measles in 2000, drops in routine vaccination coverage have allowed imported cases to trigger significant outbreaks.
As I said earlier, “under the Tenth Amendment of the U S Constitution individual states hold primary police powers and overarching responsibility for public health within their borders. State governments typically handle: Running local vaccination and immunization programs”
It appears to me States should have mandatory vaccinations for highly contagious diseases for children before starting school.
I guess some parents don’t agree with that though.
As an international traveler, international travel is a big spreader of disease. I've read about earlier outbreaks and we just have too any dumb adults who don't get vaxxed and don't get kids vaxxed. Dumb Americans, not illegal aliens. We should be wondering why it's happening elsewhere in the world, not here, but we don't, and it's because we have too many dumb Americans.
Many countries now require certain vaxxes before entering their country,
as America should have done before letting unvaccinated and unhealthy people into our country
by the hundreds of thousand in recent years.
