Yep. Back in the 20s through 50s, the Dixiecrats voted Dem to keep segregation alive and well. Can't have those niggers voting and wanting to lie with white folks, ya know. And the GOP was the great supporter of civil rights. The Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act passed with a higher percentage of Congressional GOP votes, than Dem. We old phartz remember how powerful Betty Ford's support for the Equal Rights Amendment was. Then the GOP seized the banner of hate, and here we are. I remember when Mitt Romney was running for POTUS and spoke admiringly of his dad, when Gov of Michigan, joining in civil rights marches. Mitt was promptly flamed by much of the GOP.
