"I can pay my bills this month. And I didn't get shot"
I watched a bit of TYT last night. Ana was tearing into what Ben Shapiro was saying in an interview about "affordability". Shapiro offered to anyone complaining they can't afford the rent in NYC, words to the effect "move to where it's cheaper, like Texas". She rolled out a few anecdotes: Bethlehem, PA (not a highly desirable/expensive place to live), a 26 year old woman, and her partner, are each working two jobs, and they are moving in with her grandmother, because they can't afford rent. A forklift driver that working 72 hours a week, to make enough money to make ends meet. Ana was raging "what would Ben tell him, "work 80 hours a week"?
Trump, in his screed on X, was complaining about people earning $30,000/year working, that take $50,000/year in government services.
The GOP has gotten away with their program of enriching the rich, at the expense of the Proles, for 40 years. Whenever anyone calls them on it, they give the questioner another lecture on "personal responsibility". These days, I even hear Dems lecturing people on "the dignity of work". There is no "dignity" in being treated like expendable meat.
