America's Middle Class.
First, bad culture was set in motion and a march away from traditions and family structures laid the track for demise in so many arenas, especially personal finance.
Then came the Republicans and the 401K Democrats peddling global trade, some of which was good. some of which permanently displaced America's Middle Class to the point where the new American dream is. "I can pay my bills this month. And I didn't get shot"
Toss in WhazzupDawg culture going mainstream to the point where the worst elements of the ghetto, trailer park, and barrio took over a plurality of America's minds and hearts.
Education was long inferior, for decades and systematically made sure to dull their critical thinking skills.
Top it off with Digital Culture Run Amok.....they are partially owned now, and are aching for every aspect of their lives to be digital. They are on their way to becoming cyborgs.
No Bubble Dweller TMF 401K'ers, i don't speak of you. I speak of the majority.
And the salvation?
RepublicansMAGA want them to be proud of being stupid and uncurious. RepubMAGA wants to curtail anything from food assistance to health assistance.
Then the Democrats - where Club 401K is gonna win -- and victory for them consists of doling out morsels of basic mediocrity and telling the Middle Class "ok, you got a few bucks a week. You can see a shit doctor for free. Smoke pot, bang your AI girlfriend. And stay the fuck out of our way unless we recruit you to hunger games"
Person of the Year : America's Middle Class and embracing BOHICA - Bend Over Here It Comes Again.
Now, the Middle Class will look back and even give you eye contact while they are getting railed.

"I can pay my bills this month. And I didn't get shot"
I watched a bit of TYT last night. Ana was tearing into what Ben Shapiro was saying in an interview about "affordability". Shapiro offered to anyone complaining they can't afford the rent in NYC, words to the effect "move to where it's cheaper, like Texas". She rolled out a few anecdotes: Bethlehem, PA (not a highly desirable/expensive place to live), a 26 year old woman, and her partner, are each working two jobs, and they are moving in with her grandmother, because they can't afford rent. A forklift driver that working 72 hours a week, to make enough money to make ends meet. Ana was raging "what would Ben tell him, "work 80 hours a week"?
Trump, in his screed on X, was complaining about people earning $30,000/year working, that take $50,000/year in government services.
The GOP has gotten away with their program of enriching the rich, at the expense of the Proles, for 40 years. Whenever anyone calls them on it, they give the questioner another lecture on "personal responsibility". These days, I even hear Dems lecturing people on "the dignity of work". There is no "dignity" in being treated like expendable meat.

As long as its partisan, it wont change.
Wake me up when everyone wants to say "we all did this shit"
Unuil then - here's hoping future displaced workers "express themselves" from 1/6 ways to Whole Food Parking lots to homes of well educated computer science people. (Yeah, all maga types huh)
Door 1: America hits the brakes on ghetto/trailer park expansion, more of our people happy. I love that.
Door 2: Status quo: Violence, mayhem, debt. Black. white, Dem, Repub: I don't mind it. Like or dislike? Depends on the victims.
I can play it either way.

Echota,
"The Rich" are precisely all of the Progressives angrily spewing anti-Trumps comments right here on this message board.
I have asked several of these performative phoney jackanapes about their household net worths, annual incomes, square footage of their house(s), where they live, etc.
No one ever answers.
They ARE "the Rich."
Don't ever forget it.

Isn't the essence of "conservative" trying to maintain the status quo?

We can get hung up on definitions all we like. The Liberal Nixon created EPA. Liberal Pinko Nixon went to China and even during his final speech spoke ohow in Asia they have historic things and eras that we ---just dont have here. Or that Conservative Bill Clinton and his Timothy McVeigh government hating VP Al Gore, who shrunk the size of the Federal Government. Or that Conservative poor people hater Bill Clinton who passed welfare to work
Or that Liberal George W Bush who increased the size of government to a level that would make Big Government Liberals jealous. Prescription Drugs for Seniors also with Liberal W.
Then came that Warhawk. That Warmonger Right Wing Obama who was ruthless at taking out Al Qaeda terrorists and Bin Laden himself.
Then we had them Big Business Low Wage Loving Democrats in the 90s, who along side Newt loved NAFTA, GATT, and WTO with China.
Steve, it all doesn't mean much any longer.
But back to topic.....
I have said many times, my sides "here's a tax voucher" solution to everything sucks ass. my side's blind devotion to HMOs --- is evil and stupid to where all they can do is say "ObamaCare is bad"----when at least it gave access to many many people who would be Phucked otherwise.
I even recently wrote how Trump was idiotic to say 'tribunal' for obama.
So Steve, i'm not a sycophant. I'm willing to call out my own.
But Steve, loving NAFTA GATT WTO the way 401K Democrats have and do. Ostracizing people who say "why are our babies having babies, especially to the tune of 70% in the black community" and shouting "$15 an hour!!!" for 10 years....isn't much of a help either. Teaching whole segments of people that anything from AIDS to SAT scores to cocaine is rigged against them --- well, when Stalin was croaking he plucked feathers off a bird, one by one ---and showed how the bird was nowe tahnkful for the warmth from his palm. Dems ---while maybe more well intentioned---are also part of this problem.
Which is why - "I made my bills last month, i didn't get shot, and my daughter and her baby's father might move out soon" --- is now the American dream if one ventures out of 401K Bubbles.
It's economic. it's cultural.
And - it won't be reversed.
Corporate Republicans and 401K Liberals have long wanted 70% of America in Hunger Games.
Make no mistake, we're headed there.
So yeah, I hope those responsible get 'dealt with' by those whose lives are destroyed.....and those who are already violent and angry due to bad culture and march away from traditional family structures.
Whether its the newly displaced TruckDriver who blindly decides to "write letters" to mid-level IT workers...............whether its someone who says hmmmm HMO CEO's are responsible for deaths just like Osama was. Maybe I'll be Seal Team 6 and then go have a n Egg McMuffin afterwards......
......both sides have brought it on.
And in many cases now, "I won't judge".....

Nobody wants to turn over personal information to an internet troll on a public discussion board…… and your conclusion is that they are RICH.
You go with that, marco.

MARCO i've not forgotten it.
Thats why I'm not the one who gave them their SALT deductions back while taking away ACA subsidies from Red State voters.
I'm not the one in bed with rich woke Wall Street -- - MAGA and Trump is - no different than Democrats.
I"m the one who has said - tithe the 401Ks....
