^^It finally occurred to me that I can buy a couple of pounds of popcorn kernels and 100 paper lunch bags for less than $5.^^

Unreal idea. Popcorn is very healthy also - 100% whole grain and a good source of fiber. Thanks for the idea as I might add that when I next go shopping. I have been buying mixed nots a lot as a kind of staple diet.

I find a trick to eat well is to make the decision not in the kitchen, but when buying food. Just don't bring crap home, don't even bring anything with sugar, and you soon adapt and feel way better. Most of the population is half-addicted to sugar and it really messes with the natural dopamine regulation, so you start to become unmotivated by things like solving problems, or working, and instead just start to always want food.
