One should not refer to a developing human as a child.

The correct terms are zygote, embryo, then fetus.

A zygote can be further subdivided into; morula, blastula, gastrula, and neurula by stages.

Misidentifying as a "child" these stages of development is a disingenuous emotional appeal.
