I forget. Did we have an excuse for that one, or was it just because he was a "flaky barbarian"?

I asked the net sifter about the excuse for Libya. Seems we suckered the UN again.

However, the campaign, which aimed to stop Muammar Gaddafi's forces from attacking rebels in Benghazi, evolved into a broader mission of regime change, according to analysts and after-action reports


That's a hot one. Protecting rebels, from Kaddaffi. Is the UN saying governments have no right of self defense against rebellion? That's a pant load.
