The country will do fine after he is gone.

Maybe not. MAGA is still out there, and is a threat to our democracy (because of their tolerance -even open support- for authoritarian policies). The Felon will go away, but the MAGA idea won't be so easy to kill.

Hopefully, the Dems don't screw the pooch in 2026 and 2028, and are then able to restore government to its former -if imperfect- glory, and prove that government can work if you don't actively try to sabotage it.
