I wonder how the GOP will try to rationalize and justify this blatant grifting. We'll find out on Monday when Congress gets back to "work". Will Thune gainsay it? Grassley? Graham? Johnson? Roy?

They've showed no inclination to oppose Trump. I hope they surprise me. But they are scared to death of the zombie MAGA cult that they spent decades creating.
