Only 9 of 33 Christian churches said yes -and all 9 were predominantly Black churches.
Love thy neighbor? Depends on the pew.

The starkness of the contrast does surprise me, but only by a little. Unfortunately, many Christian churches talk a good game, but when you dig deeper, their benevolence and sympathies are encapsulated by the expression “Charity begins at home”.

Unfortunately, too often, it ends there.
