I will begin with a regiment of three times a week for now (M,W & F) starting tomorrow and will work up to performing this task everyday.

Doing resistance exercise daily isn't recommended, because it doesn't give the muscles that were involved enough time to recover. If you do want to do it daily eventually, then the advice is to alternate muscle groups so you can pair exercise and recovery.

A side note....which I add as a writer/editor who can't help not saying something :-( .....the word you want here is "regimen," rather than "regiment." A regiment is an army unit. A regimen is a systematic way of doing something, often for health.....medical treatment, dietary, exercise, etc. It's an incredibly common word mis-use ....with "regime" another word often used instead of "regimen."
