The national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $2.891, nowhere close to the "under $2" Trumpedo keeps claiming.
Given the fact that Trump has probably not had to pump gas into his own gas tank for years, if he ever did…….
When he thinks “price of gasoline”, he probably checks the NYMEX futures price, which gives a thumbnail approximation of the wholesale, not retail price.
At the moment, the cash price for a gallon of February delivery (wholesale) gasoline is $1.82, so I suppose he can convince himself he’s not lying when he says gasoline is under 2 bucks.
If I had an empty 10,000 gallon tank, I could fill it for $1.82 as well! (Plus transport)
