This is an absolutely Huge win for Trump, and for the USA. I haven't read the deal points but presumably "permanent rights to establish additional military [infrastructure]" includes whatever new anti-ballistic missile defense systems may be under development. Both for detection (like the DEW line, does that still exist?) and for installation of anti-ballistic missile systems or perhaps things like directed energy weapons once they are sufficiently developed. Also maybe offensive systems, fuck it let's blow em all up.

They reached a deal with the Danes over Greenland:

Trump declares victory in historic deal with Greenland as he secures 'permanent' US military rights
The deal bars Russia, China and non-NATO countries from establishing military bases on the island, Fox News Digital learned
Somebody is going to chime in and say "we already have..." I didn't fact check that part and don't know if we already have permanent basing rights there.
FIRST ON FOX: President Donald Trump struck a sweeping agreement with Denmark and Greenland this week granting the United States permanent military rights on the strategically placed Arctic island.
The U.S. will now have permanent access, basing and overflight rights in Greenland and the ability to establish additional military installations as needed, according to a senior U.S. official who outlined the deal exclusively to Fox News Digital.
I suspect the new deal is the "establish additional military installations as needed" part. Permanent overflight is also a plus.
This part
The deal bars China, Russia and other non-NATO countries from establishing military bases or maintaining troops in Greenland. It also restricts adversaries from investing in sensitive sectors that could pose a threat to U.S. national security.
...locks China out of critical minerals that Greenland may choose to mine.
And most importantly:
The deal is designed to remain in effect even if Greenland eventually becomes an independent country, they added.
This opens the door for expanded missile defense installations, including new radars and interceptor sites. Greenland is a prime location for shots coming over the North Pole. Should we see increased naval activity in the Arctic from the Russkies this sets us up for an eventual sub base if we need one as well.
Great news. This shores up North America's northern flank rather nicely.
