Except that they're congregating in an area that it's prohibited for people to be

Granted. They are loitering. They are not an “unruly mob”

So there must be something else - some other cause - for why the Capitol was broken into. What folks seem to have landed on is the idea that this was just a peaceful gathering that was provoked into doing something bad - that there were fed provocateurs in the crowd, that the police instigated it, that people were misled into thinking what they were doing was lawful, etc.

Do these people walking around in the Capital building look to be an unruly mob?
The commentators did their best though to make it seem so.
Maybe they should not have been there, they were not an “unruly mob.”
