***note, proof of immigration status is required to apply for SNAP in Michigan.***

Verification

You will be asked to prove much of the information you provided on your application. Most proof, or verification, must be "current" and dated within the last 30 days. We may need to contact a third party such as your landlord or employer in order to verify your situation. Your signature on your application for assistance gives us permission to do so.

But the regime is insisting that illegals are receiving benefits, so arranges more enforcement theater.

Trump administration threatens to withhold SNAP benefits from Michigan, other states next week

(FOX 2) - The Trump Administration plans to withhold SNAP food aid from recipients living in Democratic-controlled states after requests for data on those enrolled in the program were rejected.

The plan was announced during the president's cabinet meeting after Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said the department would be withholding benefits to states because of requests for names and immigration status of aid recipients being denied.

In July, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel asked a court to block the U.S. Department of Agriculture from forcing states to turn over personal data about those on the SNAP program.

SNAP applicants provide their private information with the understanding it would not be used for unrelated purposes, the attorney general said.

The regime has also demanded voter registration records from the states. Michigan is pushing back on that invasion of privacy too.

Ultimately, I expect the regime to end SNAP, while giving the recipients the "pull yourself up by your boot straps" lecture, and telling them to work more hours.
