Yeah, I'm sure those performers -- and their attorneys -- never thought of that.

Standard contracts have a morals clause that would enable cancellation if the venue’s actions bring public controversy or association would harm the artist’s reputation, or even if the venue engages in conduct “inconsistent with the values” of the artist or production.

Contracts usually have a materials change clause as well, allowing cancellation if the venue undergoes a fundamental change in identity, leadership, or mission.
