I wonder if some day speaker Johnson is going to wake up and go:
"WTF, I can't believe I said the moral thing to do is to take health care away from poor people"
I am not holding my breath.

Years ago I had to do some business with a John Bircher. When he learned I was working for the government he got very angry and started berating me. I did not offer any pushback, but bought what I came for and got out of there. But as I was walking away he screamed. "JESUS SAID THAT THE POOR WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US!", apropos of nothing I had said.

I think it was his way of saying he hated social programs like welfare?
