In this "equality" society men get equal alimony. Dont they?

Yes.

However, because an "equality" society is aspirational, not something that exists in the present, there are significant cultural biases against men asking for alimony - even when they are entitled to it. This article is somewhat dated, but for the population of older folks that are likely to be affected by the Florida law there is almost certainly an overwhelming gender imbalance among those who receive alimony:
