...dementia. It's been noticeably increasing since the Stormy trial when he confused who's who in a photo of his current spouse and mistress.

I been tellin' ya'. As someone who had to deal with a parent with dementia, I know what it looks like. He's in the stage where he looks functional, but he gets easily confused. At this point the doctor told us that 1poormom shouldn't be allowed to drive or live alone. If it progresses as 1poormom's did, he'll be in need of assisted living within about 2 years (mom was in IL, but we had to take away her car, so she relied on the community van). He might not recognize his kids within four. Everyone is different, of course. Could be faster, could be slower. But it's definitely there.
