Steve,
I don't have to practice thinking about my constituency, nor worry about whether I'm going to be harried and dragged into court by the justice department, so I'm free to say what is truth.
The bombing of boats in the Caribe, under the guise of narco-terrorism is illegal by treaties we have signed, and by international law. We want to save those times we disregard the law for 1. when it benefits our Military not so here, and 2. when there is an actual threat to Americans not so here. And maybe something I can't think of at the moment. I think the chances are low that we'll see anything other than maybe a few monetary claims by relatives of those killed.
I understood that they were talking to the troops that may be deployed into American cities, but here is an example of an illegal order that is being obeyed. I want the officers that are going into the cities to be aware as I don't expect 18 year olds they command to fully understand.
It is both a political and legal ploy to ask for examples and I know you understand that.
