True, and very too bad.

Ultimately, the situation will lead to their demise.

Or to the demise of the Republic.

If they go first, the Republic has a chance.

If the country goes first, they, and all else, can kiss our collective hinnies adieu.

(I remember reading that Reagan had to reinsert his "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" in to his speech at the Berlin Wall.

Not once, not twice, but at least THREE TIMES. The well-versed deep state morons at State insisted he not say it.)

I was surprised that he didn't tear the morons down.
