I have received several letters in the mail from Exxon Mobil inviting me to sign away my shareholder rights by defaulting my shares to be voted management's way on everything, all the time. Today, I received a phone call, pressing me on the same matter. I can't tell if there is some special issue that management wants to ram through, or if management is simply tired of dealing with shareholder input, on anything.

Last time I looked, management are the shareholder's employees, not law unto themselves.
