I have received several letters in the mail from Exxon Mobil inviting me to sign away my shareholder rights by defaulting my shares to be voted management's way on everything, all the time. Today, I received a phone call, pressing me on the same matter. I can't tell if there is some special issue that management wants to ram through, or if management is simply tired of dealing with shareholder input, on anything.
Last time I looked, management are the shareholder's employees, not law unto themselves.

I got that this morning (or maybe yesterday) as well. It was on the answering machine, and I played it on speakerphone because I was doing something else. Mrs. Goofy said “What’s that about?” And I answered, “They want me to vote with management, always and forever, no matter what, do dah, do dah”.
She looked at me and said “So I guess that’s a no?”
