Director Wray was appearing before the House Appropriations Committee, asking for increased funding -- at least $500 million more than was appropriated last fiscal year.

Republicans -- Greene, Biggs, Jordan, who has submitted a proposal that calls for "eliminating taxpayer funding for any new FBI headquarter facility," Gaetz, and others -- want to defund the FBI. Literally.

House republicans advanced a fiscal year 2024 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies funding bill that cut funding by 29%.

We truly are living in The Upside Down.
