This could go either way: Trump blows up the Venezuelan industry, to take it entirely offline, so big oil makes more profit from it's existing production. Or, big oil does what most "JCs" do these days: sit on their hands until Uncle Sugar pays for everything for them, and guarantees their profits.
Ah, think I have the scenario worked out. Based on recent behavior, the Pirate King demands a huge equity stake in PDVSA, as compensation for tossing Maduro and installing his one Quisling in charge of Venezuela. Then US oil companies provide the expertise, while PDVSA provides all the money to develop the resources. PDVSA obtains the funding by loans, at exorbitant rates from cronies of the Pirate King, while the US government guarantees the loans, so the cronies shoulder no risk. Then the US oil companies extract the oil, while paying a trivial royalty to Venezuela, because "must not burden JCs" with things like paying for what they extract. Lots of lovely money for the cabal. The Venezuelan people, of course, are nothing but more Proles to be ignored/used.
