i dont know why singer would continue to be favored for SPR unless coughing up weekly...otherwise trump's recall gets weak.

As my other posts explain, VZ crude is too heavy to use in the SPR. As usual, what Trump said publicly was a lie. Citgo is the only major whose entire refinery fleet is optimized to run VZ crude, so is the logical choice, to be the operator of the VZ operation, and process the crude. Of course, Citgo's value is radically juiced by the snatch of Maduro, and dropping of US sanctions on VZ, which all happened a month after Singer bought the company.

Citgo, undoubtedly, has plenty of competent people on staff. All Singer has to do is rake in the money. Even I could do that.

There is a story about Henry Kaiser. He was in a conference with, iirc, WWII government war production people. Kaiser was asked if he could make a particular thing. Kaiser turned to one of his aides, and asked what the thing was. The aide explained it. Kaiser turned to the government people and said he could make it. The big dog doesn't need to know the technical side of an operation, as long as he has underlings who do.
