This horse’s ass is going to get us into a shooting war.
If we defend Taiwan and Philippine sovereignty (as recognized by international law), we will be in a shoot war within a few years. China doesn't recognize the international case that they lost, and is trying to gobble-up some of the most northwestern parts of the Philippines. They're also antagonizing Vietnam, and some others. But we have a defense pact with the PI. And we shouldn't let them take Taiwan. So, it will be war. Unless Xi somehow dies or is deposed, and a more moderate voice rises in China.
Though, the Felon could hasten all this if he doesn't support the PI, and cowers away from Taiwan.
