Founded in 2013 as an anti-European Union party, AfD has since radicalized and become an extremist, anti-immigrant party whose aim is “to eliminate the free democratic basic order,” according to a 2023 report by the German Institute for Human Rights.

So, basically, the NAZIs. That party is illegal in Germany, so they can't call themselves that. But a rose by any other name...

Outlawing the party was kinda silly, because the ideas persist.

The last time things were going like this, we had two bench-clearing wars in rapid succession. Heck, even "national heroes" like Lindburgh and Ford were NAZI sympathizers. It wasn't until the excrement hit the fan that Ford changed his mind. Not sure Lindburgh ever did (I genuinely don't know).
