Former Attorney General Bill Barr is making the rounds to claim he is an upright and principled man.
Huh.
Setting aside the fact that Barr enabled Trump by lying about the Mueller Report and killed the investigation of Mike Flynn, Barr stood by watching Trump's crimes unfold between election day and Christmas, when he formally left the administration.
All of these guys -- Pence, who took notes, and a handful of attorneys -- watched as Trump schemed his fake elector scheme with active participation from others and none of these guys thought to alert the FBI or the justice department. Hell, Barr ran the justice department and never said a word.
But now Barr has words...
BARR: "As the indictment says, they're not attacking his First Amendment right. He can say whatever he wants. He can even lie. He can tell people that the election was stolen when he knew better. But that does not protect you from entering into a conspiracy."
BARR: 'He leaves in his wake ruined lives like this. The people who went up to Capitol Hill, these individuals, many of the people who served him in government that got sucked into things, he just leaves all this carnage in his wake.'
Give me a break. Barr and Pence and a whole host of others enabled Trump, watched him conspire against the United States, and never thought to speak out or alert law enforcement.
Deplorable.
