Paging Mr. Knight!
Remember our very own N-digits? He's back in the news, and is discussing foreign events. I mentioned a few weeks ago that there were those in the government that think that the year 2027 is going be somewhat...spicy...and were doing things to try to prepare the public for it?

That's where N-digits comes in.
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2023/04/14...

Former CIA officer Larry Johnson, who did presidential daily briefings during the George H.W. Bush administration, told "Judging Freedom" host Andrew Napolitano that he thinks the latest leak of Ukraine War documents is an inside job.

About the source, he said: "I'd put it above the CIA. This is elements connected to the Director of National Intelligence... There's no way that some National Guardsman doing [temporary duty] at Fort Bragg would have access to that."

"The information was leaked for [a purpose], to prepare the U.S. public for the crash landing that's going to take place with respect to U.S. foreign policy," he said.

What he's basing that claim on is that there's no way some 21-year-old IT rando from the Mass Air Guard is going to have access to the breadth of stuff that was posted in the Minecraft forum. Not unless the government is completely and thoroughly incompetent, and while they are in many respects, this isn't one of them.

So where did the documents come from? N-digits' thesis is that it's coming from the natural intersection point where a lot of this information would be in one place, i.e. the DNI's office. In fact, a former assistant DNI agrees with that:

(Note to board, I could care less how much you hate Breitbart)
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/04/15/kash...

'That the New York Times and Washington Post 'broke' this story, that also leads me to believe it's the same tradecraft from Russiagate, that when deep state actors want stuff out there, they put it out to their sources,' he said. 'Am I to believe that these two newspapers found this guy out first, before the FBI? That's absurd. That's the timeline we're being told. So now, we have better investigators at the New York Times and the Washington Post than in the FBI?'

'This is an extensive cover-up,' Patel said of Teixeira's arrest. 'It's going to go on for some time, and they needed a quick victory. This kid should be prosecuted, no questions asked, no questions about it in my mind ' he broke the law and needs to be prosecuted.'

I don't agree with everything he's saying. For one, we're not 'failing' in the Ukraine. There just aren't enough Ukrainians to throw Putin out of their country unless we give them our best stuff. So the current crisis is going to become a bloody stalemate and a meatgrinder for the poor saps the Russians send there.

No...what was really interesting in the documents was what pertained to China. And what was that, exactly?

https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/11/china/china-pentago....

Another said Nicaragua was negotiating with a Chinese company for the construction of a deepwater port on its Caribbean coast, attributing this information to signals intelligence.

The brief also said, without providing a source, that Nicaragua 'probably would consider offering Beijing naval access in exchange for economic investment.' China has not stated aspirations to acquire overseas basing or military access in the country, it added.

Oh, but they will. Right now they have essentially secured ownership of the Panama Canal. It's only a matter of time before some socialist central American country invites the PLAN in for good. Remember when I told you're their putting their Navy on the world's economic choke points? Here's another one.

The docs also talked about balloons...lots of them:

https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/39516...
Intelligence agencies refer to the balloon that traveled across the country before being shot down as Killeen-23. The documents the Post reviewed also mention balloons referred to as Bulger-21 and Accardo-21, but they do not make clear if these are the ones that flew over the carrier and crashed into the sea, respectively.

A document produced by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) states that Bulger-21 carried surveillance equipment while circumnavigating the world from December 2021 to May 2022. Accardo-21 carried similar equipment and a 'foil-lined gimbaled' sensor.

For those who don't follow aviation, the names refer to the "Callsigns" that each aircraft navigating the globe gets. Most civilian planes are simple: "DAL1538" just took off crom LaGuardia. Others are for various militaries. "RRR4533" is an RAF Airbus that likely just dropped some weapons off in Poland. What's amusing about the callsigns picked for the balloons is that all the names are famous gangsters. Somebody in the Air Force has a non-woke sense of humor. Good.

And of course this all points to the reason why 2027 might be spicy:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/taiwan-highly...
The assessments state that Taiwan officials doubt their air defenses can 'accurately detect missile launches,' that barely more than half of Taiwan's aircraft are fully mission capable and that moving the jets to shelters would take at least a week ' a huge problem if China launched missiles before Taiwan had a chance to disperse those planes.

The classified documents addressing a potential conflict suggest China's air force would have a much better shot at establishing early control of the skies ' a strategy that Taipei itself believes will underpin an attack ' than Russia did in Ukraine.

...and that of course is game over for Taiwan.
As I said, if you know what to look for in the news you'll see lots of stuff getting out there that normally doesn't go out there.

The other thing China is doing is running around on a diplomatic front to line up support on two fronts:

1. Isolate the US
2. See who will be most against their moves towards Taiwan

(1) is another thread for another day. But how's their charm offensive going? It worked pretty well on Macron.

https://www.foxnews.com/category/world/world-regio...

https://www.foxnews.com/world/china-says-hopes-bel...

Wang Yi, China's top diplomat, made the comments in a statement shared by the Chinese foreign ministry on Saturday, stating that he "hopes and believes" the European country will support its "peaceful reunification" with Taiwan.

During a meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in China, Wang said that China once supported the reunification of Germany.

"To maintain stability in the Taiwan Strait, it is necessary to firmly oppose separatist activities related to 'Taiwan independence'," Wang said.

Because they're totally the same thing, you know. To his credit, the German foreign minister said
Baerbock said on Friday that any attempt from China to gain control of Taiwan would come with serious repercussions for Europe.

"A military escalation in the Taiwan Strait, through which ... 50% of world trade goes every day, would be a horror scenario for the entire world," said Baerbock.

...which brings me back to the point about trade routes and how China views the upcoming conflict: Once the fur flies in the straits of Taiwan, it won't do to have the world's economy reorient itself around alternative routes.

Ergo the Chinese have been working on getting strategic control of assets like the Panama Canal for decades and are more recently siting their naval assets nearby...just in case.

Hi Dope....

I read your post yesterday, and again today and thank you for the detailed high quality report. I knew almost none of this as I do not watch the news for years now. I glance at daily headlines just to know general trends and I read a a few Economist articles a week and as much as that newsroom leans woke-ish, I get stories that are not always about the latest "Trump!!!" derangement syndrome. As I said years ago on TMF: These Liberals, with help from some NeoCons are going to eventually get the country they deserve. Sadly (or happily depending on my mood) they are there now. They are nowhere near their final destination but the direction is irreversible. America will be a first world country with normalized, visible, and swelling 3rd world traits. Now, the only thing prolonging the inevitable is the magnificent FOSSIL FUEL industry, the great CAPITALISTIC spirit which is still in *some* of the people, and the awesome nuclear arsenal and military - all things that the Liberals have despised for decades. Funny - they now use these same things against their hate du jour..."Putin!"

So I'd say I'm 60% plugged out. Hee-Hee. Haven't worked in years, get back about $3,200 a year from the Feds and as I used to post on TMF, they won't get a dime when I kick the bucket. So now, it's all entertainment for me. Being a "Low Income American" - is full of perks:)

China has always worried me and if I remember right, you were one of the FEW who remembered the 90's when Bill Clinton, Loral Space, Bill Richardson and PNTR and WTO pretty much helped speed up China's rise by light years. Liberals are good at taking care of Blue States and they did it for China.

I agree with all there trends you pointed out, and your endgame prediction I believe is correct.... though I really think the Ruling Class will figure out how to prolong it a bit more, make a few entitlement programs insolvent, and then - use mass war as a means of taking rights from, and enslaving citizens.

The one thing that sticks in my craw: The Left WANTS THIS. They kept saying "Putin!" 'Trump!" when in reality, the Liberals are pure Red Chinese - only now things got a bit hot so they have to push back on semiconductors, etc. (Nationalists!!!! As they used to accuse me of lol)

They egged on this Woke Defense Profit War with Russia and Ukraine because of their corruption, AND also their desire to spank "Putin!" whom they have personal animosity for. When they list his sins.....they totally forget that their China Buddies engage in genocide. And killing of dissidents. And sabotage. All the time. Yet the S AND P 500 LIBERAL SELLOUTS didn't take Big Macs away from China. And they're happy to let America be drained as usual. in the same of helping their racist colonizing buddies in Europe. Notice how these days "Bully!" "Imperialism!" isn't so loud in Europe.

The RedChina Liberals shout "OUR ALLIES!" "NATO!".....yet when Macron meets XI and casts doubt on being strong on Taiwan, the Left is muted - just like they are when their racist France is harassing Muslims to a tune that would make Trump jealous.

One part I'm optimistic for, and subtly plan to assist in: I hope they mayhem eventually comes to the doorstep of the WholeFoods401K Left.

In the meantime, it's a pleasure for me to see Biden smooch Saudi's butt - only to see Saudi and Iran unite in flipping the bird to arrogant Western Leaders. It's a pleasure to see rising powers buying oil from "PUTIN!" - - and when called on it, they point out that Europe buys way more.

America - and especially Europe - will one day not be in the driver's seat.

The Left, must pay for that.

I admit I'm mixed. I'm saddened by it but like I said decades ago on TMF: I expected this. Tis why, I feel strongly that Western Europe, and American Liberals need to participate in the decline.
