"Though I have to admit I've lost confidence in elected officials. Civil servants are just trying to do their jobs the best they can, just like the rest of us. Elected officials have too many agendas other than doing their jobs."

I get pretty frustrated with the IRS situation. The tax code has been rigged in favor of the wealthy, so why are so many middle class Americans against hiring more IRS agents ?? Basically
all W2 employees couldn't cheat on their taxes if they tried, every paycheck is documented.
Stock Brokerages send details of every transaction I make to the IRS, I couldn't cheat on that if I tried. But the very wealthiest ( or their lobbyists ) have basically written the tax code, and they still cheat.

But a sizeable number of Americans are against providing enough funding for the IRS so that they have some teeth, so they could actually audit the big tax cheats out there.

We are a brainwashed group of people, lol, but hey, them damn low income people better not get away with cheating on the EITC, we won't stand for that.
