I believe the Chinese have something to say about such times. The irony is, he could have invaded Panama, with no more than some squirming by our allies, like 41 did. And he could have made an instant profit off the canal, by controlling access.

‘Good Luck’: Trump Predicts Who to Blame Over Panama Failure
The Hong Kong-based conglomerate CK Hutchison Holdings has agreed to sell control of its port operations near the Panama Canal to a consortium led by BlackRock. The consortium will acquire 90% of Panama Ports Company, which manages the Balboa and Cristobal ports. When praising the deal during his address to Congress, President Donald Trump placed responsibility on Secretary of State Marco Rubio, saying, “Good luck, Marco. Now we know who to blame if anything goes wrong.”
