1. Impose illegal tariffs
2. The end customers- the consumers, end up paying the increased cost of tariffs

3. Tariffs declared illegal.

4. Mechanism gearing up (as it currently is) to pay back importers, NOT consumers, who as end users actually paid the cost of tariffs in higher prices.

5. And the beneficiaries will be LARGE importers. They benefitted from higher prices. Now they’re lining up for gov’t checks to cover price of tariffs.

Mom and pop mainstreet gift stores that imported from overseas? They’re in the same boat as consumers- out of luck. And many of these closed up shop.
