Because Kennedy has withdrawn the recommendations for Covid vax, for everyone except the elderly and people with other health issues, there is a real question about whether insurance will pay for a vax, for anyone else.
Extrapolate that to every other vax.
Of course, DeSantis does plenty of pandering to knuckle draggers himself. Remember when cruise lines mandated passengers and crew have a covid vax, and DeSantis outlawed the cruise line's reg? The ships either could not enforce their reg, for the health of their own crews, or could not load passengers in Florida.

Polio they don't give out shots for any more IIRC and chicken pox isn't anything to be afraid of (although you are at risk for shingles later, which reminds me, I need my shingles vaccine now that I'm over 50).

Probably smallpox. That is the only disease that is considered eradicated. Polio was getting close, but various anti-science factions globally have enabled a resurgence in some areas.
If I were a parent to a young child, I'd have a long talk with the pediatrician before not having the child vaccinated against smallpox. As it is, 1poorkid got both smallpox and polio, and HPV, and everything else available.

I'm glad my kids are old enough that they will avoid personally experiencing the worst of this. But it won't be more than a few years before the first Florida kid unnecessarily dies from measles. You know - for freedom.
But we won't. Us old guys will face a bevy of new disease incubators surrounding us, so we have to get what protective shots we can get. The herd protection won't be there, and we'll be part of that experiment. I still remember being shocked that my brother had become antivaxx for Covid, not sure about the rest. It's like talking directly to Dope - you don't want to do that, keep the internet between you. Stupidity is on parade.
I have lead a protected life. In the Phils, I could see wasting in the kids down in the fishing village, but I was still surprised at the amount of TB, and in adults too. Every time they tested incoming fishing crews, half the boat had TB, and they'd get treatments, but they were setting up individualized cloth separations inside tents. And sometimes just open air cloth partitions. We should deport all anti-vaxxers. that's the ticket.
