It's very very likely that 2028 is a WAVE election - in favor of Democrats.

In that case, Newsom could indeed win the Presidency - I remember writing about him on TMF a decade ago.

Certainly the right campaign team from the GOP could tie this guy to every Fruit Loopy California thing possible *but* - a wave could withstand that.

IMO - Governor Beshear wouldn't only win - he'd win in a way that gives a true governing mandate.
