In his telling, Trump is not merely a politician but a vessel of “divine providence,” destined to take a third bite out of the apple because the people (well, his people) demand it.
Trump, openly, has been declaring himself chosen by God, ever since the assassination attempt in Butler.
When Colorado tried to keep Trump off the ballot, citing the "insurrection" clause of the 14th, the SCOTUS ruled Colorado did not have authority to do that. Meanwhile, the narrative being spread was that the question of his qualification for office "should be left up to voters".
I am sure that "should be left up to voters" narrative will be back in 28.
That is why I have been saying, for a while, that, if he can draw breath, he will run again in 28, and declare himself the winner, again.
