Medicare means test - I like it. And the people who are too healthy need a surcharge levied upon them because they'll live longer- soak up the resources. Prevent young people from getting more job openings, and on and on.
Remember "Plan Steve" for "saving Medicare and Social Security"?
I'll put on my MBA hat *scrunch*
Impose a work requirement for Medicare, for all able bodied people, regardless of age.
Make Social Security benefits only available to people certified too broken up or sick to work.

See? Easy. Work Proles until the "JCs" can't extract any more work from them.
Only problem is, "JCs" don't want old phartz doddering around the office or plant. Younger people are stronger, and faster, have more stamina, without a lot of downtime for repairs. That's way retirement was invented, to make it easier for the "JCs" to shove old, less productive, geezers out the door.
