One time.... in band camp....
I got a call one morning that a panga was aground at red beach whose bluff has the grandstand and viewing platform the shillbilly defiled. I zipped on down, entered the base at the red beach/las pulgas gate, dropped it into 4x4 and eased down onto the sand.
A landing exercise was underway, hundreds of tents to the south to white beach where, on No Kings Day, Kegbreath's howitzers were idiotically lined up. I called CBP who told me to head up-coast.
The panga was, maybe, a half mile north.... between the company of marines and the San Onofre CBP checkpoint. Lifejackets strewn between the boat and the bluff suggests it was all migrants; not dope. Nobody got apprehended, nobody murdered.
In all the years I worked in that area I never saw anything fired in the direction of the highway. Not once. The base commandant feels like an ass for approving that stunt.
