Reminds me of a story my brother-in-law told me...

Years ago he worked in public relations for the governor of Oregon. He related the story of a Republican state representative who, after listening to a debate in which two other representatives kept talking about the cost of some program. One referred to it costing $250,000, the other said a quarter of a million dollars. After a while she interrupted: "Well, which is it? $250,000 or a quarter million." Duh.
