Good chance. And it will have been removing money from people's pockets and giving it to the ones Carlin called "our owners". Because over 90% of the tariff funds came from American pockets.

I take it, we'll never support cigarette or ga taxes.
And, we will never support a VAT tax - which also takes money from people.
I actually am opposite of that- revenue needs to be generated.And the 'top 1%" nonsense politically and in reality doesn't work. Not mathematically either. Of course---it's top 1%'res blowing money on tattoos, sports betting, designer hand bags, record restaurant sales, the newest iPhones right? Tax their asses on that stuff ;)
