What does this have to do with the government policy of uncontrolled/unvetted migration that is now occuring?

The premise of your question is incorrect. There is no such policy. Border Patrol is catching lots of folks, and sending them home. Just as they always have, for decades, under both Rep and Dem administrations.

If you're referring to asylum, that is a legal process. Which, by definition, is controlling and vetting.
