I probably won't bother with the debates. I already know I'm voting against the convict. So I don't really need to watch the debates. It would be different with primary debates, but we've already got our candidate whom is opposing the convict.

However, as a matter of principle, I think the only live mike should be the speaker whose turn it is. The other mike should be cut. I don't want to hear candidates trying to talk over one another. I want to hear what they have to say, unfettered. No "strategy" here. Since I never buy their books, I want/need to hear what they have to say. Then I can evaluate them.

If one is talking over the other, and interrupting unendingly, one cannot expect to get anything useful from the "debate".

I'd also prefer it if they used proper debate format, which I learned all the way back in junior high school. But it doesn't seem any politician wants to do that.
