The New York Times has a great article discussing Trump's plans for a second term.
For any true American, Trump's vision of our future is chilling, if not downright horrifying. How so many of our fellow citizens can see this as a good thing is evidence of our decadence.

I'll summarize the article in sections.
Part 1:
Crack down on illegal immigration to an extreme degree - mass deportations. Stephen Miller says a ten fold increase in deportations, more than a million per year
- use federal agents, the National Guard and federal troops to apprehend migrants
- use military funds to build “vast holding facilities” to detain immigrants
- suspend refugee program and bar visitors from mostly Muslim countries (reinstate a version of the travel ban)
- end birthright citizenship
Hard to imagine how they would pull all this off, but you also have to wonder what it would do to our economy.
I'm not in favor of uncontrolled immigration but there are no simple solutions. As long as there is such a steep economic 'gradient' between us and the nations south of us, it will be very difficult to control. And the fools who keep denying the effects of climate change should realize that migration pressures are likely just going to get worse as a result of those effects.
