I have no idea what kind of influence they wield with Iowa voters,
I suspect there is not a single farmer who reads this and says “OK, well I’m going to vote Democratic.”
I also believe there are many who are thinking “You know, we got screwed, lied to, taken advantage of, or otherwise hosed, and maybe I should think about that.”
Give the realities of their everyday life: the cost of diesel, the difficulty in getting farm workers, an the constant distraction of irrelevancies, maybe a few of the more adventurous will pull a different lever this time.
