watched the recap earlier, Freeman with the walkoff HR to deep centerfield !
18 innings, a World Series doubleheader,lol.
I watched the whole thing. The advantages of retirement. I wandered back into the living room, as I was brushing my teeth, when Freeman hit. There had previously been two or three hits that the batters thought were gone, but, apparently, the ball doesn't carry at that stadium at night, so the balls were caught on the warning track.
Hoping Detroit can sign a couple of legit, proven major league bats, and hoping 1 or 2 of their elite
20-21 year old Minor League positional players can make the jump to
the Big Leagues next year.
Or maybe the cheapskate ownership will make itself known. Think about it. Brad Ausmus had no managerial experience. Bet he came cheap. Ron Gardenhire was a cancer survivor, and out of work. Bet he came cheap. A. J. Hinch was tainted by scandal, and out of work. Bet he came cheap. At some point, Hinch will purge himself of scandal, and be worth a lot more. Will the Tigers organization pay up, or lose him?
