That's why political parties love to pick out specific individuals or groups and inveigh against them, rather than drily talking about policy all the time.

Though this is normal and qualifies politics as a “contact sport”, the abnormal aspect of today’s MAGA Trump led party is its threat of jailing/exiling/executing its opponents and/or targets.
