On the flip side, after months of "Biden is too old to be President you guys" the GOP bot farm will have trouble arguing that age isn't an issue. Trump's an old man, too, and also suffers from diminished verbal acuity when he's not on teleprompter. After enduring interminable incoming fire on that issue, the Democrats are going to delight in turning those tables on Trump and highlighting his uncomfortably wandering and discursive speeches - as well as the side-by-sides that now feature a candidate in their 50's up against the geriatric Trump.

Just as the Republicans will revel in being able to criticize the Democrats for eschewing the primary vote to get a different candidate, the Democrats will enjoy being able to attack Trump as being cognitively unfit for the office even now (let alone in year four of a future administration, when he'll be older than Biden is now).
