Most likely, the Dow Jones Democrats are just moving right on immigration vis a vis rhetoric. But let's put aside whether it's rhetoric or real for a moment.

In the 90's, President Clinton moved Rightward on cops, death penalty, gay marriage just to name a few .

He won.

In 2000 and 2004, George W did NOT talk loudly or often about Roe. Or Banning abortion. He said "culture of life" to placate the Social Right (many of whom NEED abortion rights because they are careless and dont practice what they preach but I digress)

In 2000 and 2004, like it or George W moved LEFTWARD on Prescription Drugs for Seniors (Florida electoral votes anyone?)

Sometimes, if you want to win and govern you can't 100% of the time say "my principles!" "my convictions!" "Hi Sean you're a great American!". Heck I've said "mega dittos" back in the day but I still wanted to win and then get chances to govern.

Any Republicans having 2nd thoughts on not hitting Roe as hard as we did? Any Righties wondering hwy our VP has to talk about tracking how women travel and if they might be pregnant? EVEN IF TRUMP WINS - do you not want to question just a bit if this is the saavy way to play?

The Establishment and Google Jockey Republicans will blame Trump for the 2022 mid-terms when in fact it was ROE V WADE that got so many more women out to vote and defeat Republicans. Whether that happens in 2024 or not I am not a betting man as it's too close.

All I'm saying it sometimes you gotta accept the country moved on. Does that mean we want abortion at every 7-11 followed by a ticker tape parade the way Pagan Liberals and their Ethnic Cleansing Rooted Planned Parenthood? NO. But like George W talked "culture of life" and actually came out against partial-birth abortion and WON TWICE, sometimes we need to be happy with 60% wins versus holding out for 100.

Kamala Harris is POLITICAL GOLD for Republicans and we'll know in 10 days if Trump changes course and has a real campaign to exploit that. If not, *some* future Republicans might be emboldened to tell us to go pound sand, and eventually we'll be like I always predicted: UK Conservatives....."we're not as Liberal as the Liberals".

Triangulation. Taking the other guy's strong issues and making them yours or at least neutralizing them.

Gotta win elections. "Principles!" "Ideals!" fine - but then don't try to win. Save the money and organize even more at the local and state levels and cede national politics.

Yes she has Obama and Biden owning her and giving her the nomination. BUT she's such a flawed candidate and we could Dukakis the crap out of her in the next few weeks.

I'm starting to question if we want to win. "We" as in Trump and his people.

I still say - KellyAnne, 100% full in charge.
