Here's a less than encouraging piece on those catastrophic plans:

And another not-so-good: Yes, in 2026 we will be able to have an HSA for the first time, knocking $10,750 off the top line, but this is offset some by losing $7,500 in pre-tax 401k catch up contributions. Catch up contributions now have to be in a Roth.

Our insurer is asking for a 17% increase for 2026. Unsubsidized cost of our Bronze plan (if they offer it) projected at $40,150/year.
